The reserves won only their second league match of the season with a 3-1 win at home to Aldershot.
Former Arsenal youngster Jermaine Brown was given a trial and impressed early on with two efforts narrowly wide.
Tariq Nabil, Gavin Heeroo, Gareth Williams and Sam Togwell all had chances to score before Williams broke the deadlock.
Four minutes before the break, he fired Togwell's ball from the right past the Shots keeper to score.
In the second half, Williams hit the side netting, while Heeroo blasted over the crossbar as the Eagles dominated proceedings.
They duly doubled their lead on 68 minutes thanks to a great run from Brown on the right, where he cut in the box to net.
The visitors pulled a goal back moments later with a diving header that beat CEDRIC BERTHELIN in goal.
Palace substitute Gary Prigent added the third goal at the far post from Williams' cross on the left in the 74th minute to wrap up a convincing win.
Palace: BERTHELIN, Wilson (Conroy 80), Simpson, Togwell, Gibson, Dolan, Black (Prigent 46), Heeroo, Williams, Brown (Bashkal 83), Nabil.
Subs not used: Cronin, Hay.
